ABSTRACT
Demand is growing for extremozymes for biotechnological purposes. Extremophilic organisms are a natural
source of enzymes that possess features desired by the biotechnology and medical industries. X-ray crystallography
can reveal the nature of enzyme adaptation strategies to extreme environments.
